Eric Adriaans

Eric was Born in Belleville, Ontario; while he doesn’t actually recall the occasion, he feels certain that he went home from the hospital in a mid-sixties Rambler sedan…and that it may have been silver-grey in colour. He has lived, worked, and travelled extensively throughout the province ever since. Currently, he lives in Chatham-Kent with his wife, Kelly-Jo. From time to time, he drives a Mitsubishi SUV, rides a mountain bike and paddles a kayak.

Eric obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English Literature from Ottawa’s Carleton University in 1993. Later, he achieved NAFA’s Certified Automotive Fleet Manager designation. He studied Legislative Drafting via Athabasca University (2012-2016), Logistics via Fanshawe College (2016) and Quality Management at George Brown College (2025).

In 2017, Eric self-published his first collection of poetry, Leviathan: The Biographia Isocratica of Adrian Kun. He wrote, hosted and produced the Zensylvania podcast (selected episodes archived on YouTube) from 2020 to 2025.

Eric spent 25-years (1991-2016) as a community development and quality management leader with several of Canada’s most valued and respected health, animal welfare, and human rights charities. He capped the first phase of his charitable sector career as the National Executive Director for a leading Canadian secular humanist organization.

Currently, Eric is employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the hospitality industry – and couldn’t be more pleased with the ongoing convergence of his professional and intellectual interests.
